Omega blood said: "A lot of banks will turn you down even if you only have one negative. I had to completely remove all negative from TU to get approved for a BOA platinum. Unless you plan on making a major purchase, you should just wait. Hard pulls will also drop your score."

rapidanian said: "My Experian score dropped 3 points after Amex Blue did the hard pull. I also received, via email, the reject letter stating that I was rejected because of the BK. So, back to working on getting rid of that. No big deal on the score drop, but that's the last cc I will apply for this year LOL. I have 3 Cap Ones and an Orchard....that's fine enough for me for now. I will shortly be getting them all down below the 30% so that will definitely bring score up. My goal is 680s by May. I have some lates that I disputed, but will fall to 25 months in April-another plus. I've asked for a goodwill drop on a late car payment I had too, but I don't think that will work. I will report if it does though. Anyway, very psyched about this whole process and so glad I found this forum! :D"

They pulled EQ (I am in Michigan) and that score is 666 (I was really surprised to be approved) I was approved instantly , online. I have several negatives still on my report.. Paid C.O. and a few paid collections. Nothing unpaid. Nothing negative that is under 3 years old. So you can get approved with negs still on there... Believe me.. I was very surprised to be aproved. I need to find a CC that pulls TU here in Michigan. It is my best score (688)"
