how long do these liens stay on. the thing is to make a long story short my husband worked in CT they didnt have sales tax till recently so when we filed taxes i was the only one having 'wonderful NJ taxes" taken out. each year if we get money back they take it, i guess applying it to the lien so i thought, anyway i thought liens judgements and that type of thing can stay on permanently, is this true???

jayb said: "it should only be on there for 7 years. dispute with the CRA's as obsolete. now they can re up judgments every 10 years or various between states... but it should only be on your reports for 7 years. i dont believe they can keep it past 7 years even if they renew the judgment."
