So I buy a video card for my computer from an online retailer for $300 and pay with a MBNA card, the video card is dead on arrival, now it was free two day shipping included. So I call the online retailer and they tell me we can replace it no problems but we are not going to reimburse your return shipping and we cannot send out your replacement until two weeks from the time we get the bad part back, by the way make sure we have it within ten days or we will not accept it back. Well first of all this is not my fault it was bad, now I pay return shipping? So I tell them this video card is for a birthday and I need it before two weeks from now, so anyway the only way they would do it is sell me another one and then refund my money for the bad one two weeks after they get it back, so now instead of being in the hole $300 now im in for $600 for at least two weeks, anyway I can never win everything is always a disaster and now my utilization is shot to crap again to keep my scores dragged down, ever feel like playing in traffic? :D
So anyway here is what I am thinking to keep my utilization down and since I have to pay the return shipping anyway, after receiving the new part should I put the old one in the mail (at this point my responsibility is complete correct) and then go home and dispute the charge? Are there any consequences you can think of and would it get the charge off of my utilization any faster anyway? Thoughts? Comments?
Thanks All. :)"
