Balance on CCBalance on CC
TScott said: "Ok......I feel like this is a silly question but I don't want to assume anything and it's been like 10 years since I've had a cc......so I'm clueless.
Just got a secured card to help establish a new good TL........Only good TLs I have are old.
I am being very carefull not to let the balance go over 25% of the limit.
So basically all I use it for is gas and then immediately pay it off.
My question is, when it comes time for the cc company to report to the CRAs......does it matter (as far as my score) on whether there is a small balance (below 25%) or if it is at $0 balance?......my thinking was use it, pay it.....and if the company reports it at a $0 balance that would look good.
Am I correct?"

if you pay it off every month.. they are still going to report a balance.. at least thats what i see on my CR's
you need to find out if they report before or after your due date."

Even though I pay well before the due date the entire amount every month it reports on my credit at all times as the highest balance peak of any given month. :("

Then the best thing, I'm assuming is just to make sure it doesn't ever go over the 25%.
Thanks, guys :D"
