Credit card debt sold

poorcredit said: "I have 2 credit cards that shows as charged off on my credit report. One of the debts is approximately 4yrs and the other 5yrs, my question is when your debt is sold to another company for collection does the 7 years start again? I reside in Maryland and it's suppose to fall off your report after 7 years."

If I pay from what I understand it still will reflect on my report and restart the 7 years because I would need to setup a payment schedule, I am unable to simply pay it off all at once it this time."
