I have a $6000.00 limit unsecured. Work on Equifax."

TommyV said: "Josh,
Explain how that happened. All of the credit card companies suck, but we need them to re-establish our credit.
I have had Orchard for about 7 months and had to pay a $60.00 fee to get a card witha $300.00 limit and then pay another $10.00 to have the limit raised to $400.00. They also delay updating charges on your account online if you start paying every 2 weeks instead of paying the minimum once a month. Your availible credit will look low and your last few charges will be missing. I think this is so you always carry a balance and they can get you on intrest.
I now have less than $20.00 on the Orchard card and have the $6000.00 on BOA which I just charged $300.00 on and will mail a check this week to pay it down to $20.00 so it will give me a bump up.
The other negetive thing about Orchard is with a $300.00 limit you are almost always above 50% and your score takes a hit. I started using it like 4 times a month for lunch and mailing the full ammount (less 10 or 20 dollars) twice a month to show usage of the card.
I learned my lesson with credit and credit cards. Now I only charge what I can afford to pay off right now. I don't have a cell phone anymore and I try to save money out of every paycheck.
I have repaired my credit, but the real lesson I have learned is how to live within my means."
