Exclamation Bumpage *b and truecredit

there has been tons of questions lately about bumpage also known as *b. so here it is in a nutshell..... first of all, this is somewhat of a secret or glich and we dont want to talk a whole lot about it in every thread.
if you subscribe to daily credit pulls through truecredit and you pull your credit reports everyday..(this is known as soft pulls) after a while (takes about 3 months on average) the soft pulls will bump off the hard inquiries made to your credit reports. this only works on your TransUnion and Equifax reports. There is no ryme or reason as to when you will get this or to the extent it will work on equifax. there is only so much storage at these two CRA's for inquiries... so the softs eventually bump off the creditor hard inquiries. you will need to pull every day.. and do the update your credit reports and scores button on the site under credit reports tab. on the right side of the page near the bottom... it says update your reports and scores now. hit that to do the pull. this only works every 24 hours... not a minute sooner. creditors will never see your soft pulls... only you will see them when you get your reports. soft inquiries do not affect your scores.. just hard pulls which stay on for 2 years. hard inquiries from creditors cost you on an average of 7 points each for the first 6 months showing.. between 6 months and 1 year they cost you very few points... after 1 year they dont cost you any points... just look bad. but they do stay on your reports for 2 years. so, subscribe to truecredit for daily pulls and pull every day to receive bumpage. i think the site is truecredit.com and is offered by TransUnion. It may cost you like $29.95 or $39.95 to start your subscription. after that it is $9.95 per month for this service.. but i have heard that it went up to $14.95 in anycase if inquiries are a problem for you this is the way to go... and if you are going to pay for a monitoring sevice... you may as well get some benefit.. so we suggest this one. all questions regarding bumpage should be directed to this thread in the future.

Well Said!

Also, TrueCredit is one of the few monitoring sources that gives you all three reports and fakos every day. Some others (consumerinfo/Experian) give you one report a day and charge $5.00 for 1 score.

TC is a must have while repairing credit.

I'm using Privacy Matters and paying $14.95 a month. I get the triple scores through them as well. Would soft pulls work with Privacy Matters just like with TrueCredit?

No.... switch to truecredit so you can get something for your money. bumpage will become real important once you try to start adding new accounts to your reports. its nice to get new tl's without the inquiries. many cards will deny you soley based upon recent inquiries...

I just pulled my credit report recently so I have acess to it for the 20 some days. I'm not signed up for the monthly service right now but I also dont see the update credit feature. Do I need the membership before this feature appears? I have about 10 injuiries I'd like to bump off.

So if I join truecredit and do the daily pulls I will eventually bump my hard inquiries off correct? This will then improve my credit. Will this work for any credit score variation? I mean are there any circumstances where this could hurt my score or my chances of getting credit? Also these pulls would be soft inquiries only visible to me these would not show up to anyone else looking at my credit?

My primary concern is this, let me create a scenario, I apply for a loan and loan officer X looks at my credit report and sees credit card X is in good standing and opened on xx/xx/xxxx but then he notices that there was no hard inquiry from the bank that opened credit card X and not even a inquiry for the date xx/xx/xxxx would he find this strange, troubling, or a red flag?

Thanks for all the help you have provided me so far everyone, sorry for all the questions, just want to be sure that bumpage is valid in my situation and will work, also this does cost $ and I want it to be worthwhile spending. :)

Also another question, so it is safe to assume that once I have started the bumpage that I can apply for anything I want without repercussions, in other words I can keep applying and keep bumping to keep the inquiries cycled off of my report forever presumably?

no it doesnt hurt your credit.. or anything else.. it will help your credit if you have inquiries on it and as you work on your credit... you will start applying for things and will need this bumpage to help you out.. it only works on TU and EQ not experian. and yes thats the idea to be able to apply for things them bump them off... no it wont seem odd to anyone that the inquiries are not there. and you are correct... no one will see them but you. it is worth it if you want to monitor your progress and use the bumpage to your advantage as you will need to apply for things soon to raise your scores. the scores they give you are fako's not real. they usually run lower than the true fico. its a good deal if you are going to fix your credit. the sooner you start pulling the better

well as time goes on... they will count for less points for the first year.. after that they wont count.. just show. what you will want to do is start scrubbing your reports as clean as you can... then start applying for creditors that only pull either TU or EQ if the inquiries are going to be a factor at that time. you can find which creditors pull which reports from the pinned thread "credit approved" on creditboards.com its all about strategy and changing up your game plan as you go. so first use the basics.. as it sounds like you are doing that...get the reports as clean as you can... then you will have to start an advanced methods depending on what is left.
