My experience is that people are gonna ask for advice and then do what they wanted to do in the first place LOL, can you tell I've got 6 kids? But to answer your question: YMMV
"buy here pay here" maybe. You go to a regular dealership and you will get 20 inquiries and maybe WF Financial Acceptance will take you at 18%. Don't know your situation, but if you wait till your credit is better you will save a lot of money.
I am speaking from experience here.....I got my car (Hyundai) in 2004 when my credit score was at its lowest point and I pay 465 month for 60 months. 18%. I didn't NEED the car, I WANTED it. I also rolled over my Jeep's outstanding debt into the deal so I have a major upside down loan that I will never be able to get refied.
Best car deal I ever got? Buy here pay here for a 1991 Volvo for $3000. That thing was a tank and loaded. I loved that car-but my boy hit 3 deer and it was totaled-still missing those heated seats.... :(
Do you really really NEED a brand new car?

Well, in 6 months it looks like you should have almost $5000. You can get a pretty decent used car for that if you shop really careful. My mom took my brother along to shop because he knows cars. They ended up finding a really great deal on a 7 year old Toyota in perfect condition with only 22000 miles on it. Yes, it was owned by an old lady-its a REALLY nice car and it was $4300. My mom got new tires on it because she likes a lot of rubber-she had a bad wreck in the rain a few years back. She also had the brakes done-my brother told her they didn't need it but that's mom....whatryagonnado?
Anyway, at buy here pay here its common for them to ask for 1/2 down and then finance the rest. They do not normally report to CR, but you may be able to add them-I don't know the process for that. Its probably here somewhere. Good luck, hope you don't end up breaking down at rush hour---ugh that sucks.

thanks, breaking down isnt to much of a problem for me I can walk to work in less than 10-to 15 minutes we do have the buy here pay here dealers actually there's about ten of them and there scum I too know a great deal about cars these folks sell cars at prices way above there market value, I dont like the idea of me buying something and paying for it if its not what I want, For the sake to say its newer and still it wont be reported to the cra (pleeease) , But then thats me, I also told the previous dealer that with 5000 down I should be able to walk into any dealership and drive away with pretty much anything I want ( this guy wanted me to take whatever he had on the lot for the sake of making a sell) I will wait then ask my credit union and take it from there
