Default Leasing or buying a car.

Which one do you think is a better deal?
Leasing a new car or buying one?

Anyone have any experiences they could share?
Thanks!

Thumbs up

It almost always depends on the financing, IMHO.

I've never leased, but I'm tempted to.

the one thing that concerns me about a lease is going over the allowed miles.
and then having to pay for them later.
i'm gonna take a look around the internet and see what i can figure out.

still open to others feedback. thanks!

Leases aren't a bad deal if you do limited driving or your prepared to pay for going over the mileage.

Leases usually require a down payment (much like buying it outright) and are done for 36 months.
Like JJ said, financing usually makes all the difference.. incentives too..

If you have the money for the down payment, the lease is likely going to be cheaper monthly.

The better your credit, the better the deal.

These dealers will work with you if they want the deal bad enough.

That is very true.
Every salesperson is willing to make a deal to get someone in a car.
Just be sure that it's something you can afford whatever way you decide to finance.
I know that dealerships often have their own financing companies, so perhaps you will be able to get a deal.

I'm open minded to either leasing or buying. I'm planning on weighing both options and deciding which one is best for me.

thanks for all of your replies.
i appreciate it. i looked around a little bit on financing and i think that i have decided buying would be better than leasing.
i'm sure the salesman will be able to give me more details and work to see which option would be better.

Salesman can always give you more details. Let's just hope they're right :)
