Default Lender to Lender network

Hello all

I am in need of a small loan to do some misc things. Nothing extravagant. Like $6k or so with a mild intrest rate. Now, my credit is not A+ but it is not D+ eithier. I say C-. I am rebuilding my credit as we speak.

I have checked other boards and since I cannot get approved with my bank or CU, they suggest Prosper.com or pelema.com They look to be like ebay and myspace all in one.

My question, how safe are they? How do they affect your credit and is it easy for a person like me to get a small loan? I am in the market for a house in the next year or so, so I do not want any BS on my credit for nothing.

Let me know when you can.

Thanks

I would try joining the local credit union and getting a small loan that way. Just what I would do. Not sure if those places are safe. :(

I will give it a shot tonight. I have not seen any bad reviews yet. Im just skeptical about if something happens to one of the lenders backing out or losing money themselves or scams that withdraw out of my account without my consent. That is the ONLY thing I am afraid of.

Oh well. You say it is safe. I will try.

Thanks
