The more IN- Depth Story
basically I have 8 credit cards, 4 have 2 years or more length on them they range from 400->6500
400,500, 500, 700, 1400, 3000, 6000, 6500
ok so What I do is I have 1 monthly bill go to each, and then I immediately pay it off
been doing this for about 6 months now
well I was doing it with 2 cards and the others I was trying to pay down and what not
I now have finally been able to get all the kinks worked out so that i'm charging 1 bill to each card.
I also took advantage of Bank Of America's (finally) 100% free checking if u apply online, and I have 1 account for each of those bills and each account sends payment to each credit card each month, and I have the accounts set so that I have 2 months worth of bills in each account and each month I will divy up my money into each account. Its like writing checks to each company but the cool thing is i automatically know how much money I now have for my savings and spending....
Anyway i got off track, so my score in this last year has gone from 552 ->676, and now I have this loan I wanted to push my credit over 700
My girlfriend had a loan for a 4 year term and she paid it off after 2 years, and it didnt increase her credit score. It could have been the credit card we had maxed out but still we figured it would have gone up a point atleast.
So what I wanted to know was how long is long enough to have this loan before I pay it back.
I went into this explanation because the only response I got on a different board was "just use a credit card and pay it off every month"
