Default Identity Theft - Help Please

I have two accounts. One with WAMU and the other from the credit collection Agency LVNV Funding that bought it after it was charged off. I have repeatedly challenged this as not being mine with both agencies.

To date LVNV has not answered my DV letters. Wamu flatly states that it is mine. I have filed and obtained a police report with identity theft as the basis of the report. It truly is not mine. I have never had the Providian Visa they tell me I applied for and ran up $4,100 up on.

How do I use that police report to show the Credit Reporting Agencies that these accounts they are showing are caused by identity theft. A Credit Repair company tells me they will use it and have the items removed for a $1,000 fee. There has got to be a better way.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Need to call the phone numbers and activate a fraud alert, when you get your free credit report, call back in and dispute fraud on them two accounts.

Visit the FTC web site. www.ftc.gov and fill out and ID Theft Affidavit. Send a copy of that with the Police Report to the credit reporting agency and the collection agency and the creditor.

Default Identity Theft Can Be Frustrating If You Don't Know Where To Begin

File a complaint through your Attorney General online to both WAMU and LVNV. If possible or call the state Attorney General and ask for procedure. Act fast because LVNV has a habit of suing right before or right after SOL. Ask for the proof of contract or simply your signature on any document that links you with the account. Remember a Judge would use your license to compare signatures. If they do not send you anything.... Well really, there are many directions to go in. I always consider it like playing chess. You have to know every move you make and what are the possible options several moves from now. It comes with experience so all you can do now is contact the Attorney General and see if they would send your complaint on your behalf to WAMU and LVNV. Keep proof of everything.
