Default What A Bummer!!!!

Hello. I have been monitoring this site for shortly under a year. I am very pleased with it. I am currently on the road to repair my credit. Will someone please help me with how to deal with old creditor that has gone in a placed a recent payment date on an old debt in order to keep it on the report. I have not heard from this creditor and have not made a payment to them. The debt is so old the end of the seven years it would have been removed this year. How am I able to challenge this. How is it that they have so much freedom to do as they choose to my life without proof.

Do you have a past credit report showing the expiration date before the change to the tradeline, send this to the credit reporting agency with the copy of the changed report and ask them to remove due to re-aging.

This seems like an easy challenge. If the date is close, wait till the 7 year mark before challenging and then ask for its removal with all three. If they don't have proff it will come out via that process as they will have to provide it as part of the challenge process.

All three bureaus have online submittal now so it is fairly simple.

Good posts. They're in violation of the FCRA section 623 (a) (5). It says they have to report the delinquency from the original date. FCRA section 616 and 617 explains what the penalties are for willfully or negligently violating section 623. Write them a letter explaining that and they'll clear it right up.
