credit repair company
Does anybody know of a good credit repair company that I could sign with. I tried Lexington and it didn't work for me. Any suggestions?

Sorry I don't know of any other credit repair companies other then Lexington.
Do you have the time, to work on your credit yourself. You could save so much money if you could learn yourself how to fix your own credit. Plus knowledge is power, to learn for yourself what is relevant to your situation and do far more better for your self instead of leaving it up to a company.
If you want, post your situation, and maybe we can help point you in the right direction.

Hey Fixo, a lot of companies that advertise in credit repair don't have your best interest at heart. They are in business to make money. The longer they take to get your credit where you want it, the more money they make. NightStar is right, repairing your credit is going to cost a lot less and you'll learn quite a bit! :)

Stay Away From CREDIT REPAIR Companies That Are "Too Enthusiastic"
Figure out what you want to do? Then decide and go with it. Many have given advice and I agree with most that most credit repair companies don't have your best interest in mind. You can do it yourself and I have seen some successful scenarios. So don't second guess yourself. I can tell you this stay away from the guy or girl that seems too enthusiastic. The bottom line is it is a numbers game. You may see results that are life changing while your partner might hate the service because they are not seeing the results they want. Most choose a service because they don't have a clue to begin and don't want to learn or because they just don't have the time. Lexington Law is a service but you don't have to be an Attorney. Nothing goes out of their office with their letter head on it. They work as if they are you. So I say why not be you. Do it yourself. Their are some great credit e-books out there that can help. Take care and break a leg.

How many errors does your report have? As mentioned above, it might be worth doing it yourself if you only have a handful of items that need disputing.

Are you trying to get approved for something now? I would first stop the inquiries for new credit for awhile.
Not to be too nosey, but on paper this does look bad and like someone that shouldn't be spending thousands of dollars (which is what it would cost to work this credit repair through a company).
If you have the time, take it. Work a few items at a time.
If you do in fact ultimately go with a company, they charge by each item so even taking care of the low hanging fruit will save hundreds of dollars.
For example, fight the ones that are closed. A lot of time they don't care so much to provide rebuttle so they might get removed with a simple request to the credit bureaus.
In the case of things like bankofamerica, only challenge the 120 day and 150 day. Once they get removed resubmit for the 30/60/90. If you do it all at once bankofamerica will surely confirm all of them extending your timeline to challenge again.
Things like that will take it piece by piece and help in one form or another.
I have helped with writing estimation calculators for credit repair applications and this looks like $5000 to $25000 worth of credit repair bills...
Save the money and learn in the process.

You may want to check out Rising Point Solutions. They've been around for 5 years and are a reputable company. Idaho and Louisiana are the only states requiring credit repair companies to be licensed and RPS is licensed in both. They're based in Dallas and they use a unique software set up to challenge the legality of items on your report. Basically, they know that bank of America statistically violates section such and such of the FCRA 80% of the time. They'll challenge all the items on your report and they stick with you for a year to make sure everything stays off.

I had the best result with Company ABC
Make sure you don't confuse licensed with reputable. If you do a lot a business you have good days and bad days and good clients and bad clients. You can't win them all. Those who say they do, beware. Being licensed means you filled in a form and put how you would charge on a piece of paper and submitted maybe $100.00. Not much to it. I only know of one company in the country who is Fair Credit Reporting Act Certified. The FCRA is the backbone to credit repair. Remember suggestions offered here could be from the company themselves. For example testimonials. I would like to see some bad testimonials. Someone who says this company told me they were going to do this.... and I got that, but they worked me and helped me understand that it doesn't always work out. Something where a company fixed the problem. That is business in its prime. The problem in this business is the consumers are fed so much BS they are sold on that and then when it comes time to show your hand... well I thought.... I am probably venting. I am just sick and tired of all the complaints I hear day in and day out of companines getting confrontational, when they are at fault. Just try doing it yourself and if you can't handle it after a while hire someone but don't pay them all up front. The point is you will understand the process. If the process doesn't equal to what you attempted or better you know something is up. Remember, your credit is your life and life is your credit. Thank you for the session and the check is in the mail.
