What state are you from? Need to find out the statute of limitations on the judgement for your state.
Just because they charged off does not mean that you still don't legally owe the debt. It is just a term meaning they got a tax break. Should you pay, they would then have to pay taxes on that income.

I’m in AR SOL Judgments is 10 yrs, 5 on Written Contracts and 2 on Medical I believe.
Best I can make of from my CRA I have 6 Neg. CA's that according too TU are estimated to be removed between now and Sept. 2008, also 2 other smalls CA's 1 out of SOL and 1 not and 2 small medical that have went to CA and out of SOL and this Jugdement.
My thinking now is maybe let the 6 drop by Sept. and try to negotiate a pay for remove deal on the the remaining 5. (Or would it be better to send DV on them first?) and have a clear CRA by years end.
Question is would trying to make deals or sending a DV affect the out of SOL or reporting dates on the remaining CA's or Judgment? Thanks again for your input.
