Default Charge off question

I had a loan that was charged off two years ago. It was sold to another company, then they sent it out to be collected. The OC is reporting on all three, but the new owner is only reporting on EX. I did a paid for delete with the CA. So, that will take them off, but not the OC. Wll the OC change it from "charged off and sold to another lender" to "paid charge off" or do they not even care at this point? I am try to figure out an angle to get rid of it.

Thank you,
Shelpster.

Hello Shelpster,

My experience has shown me that a simple dispute will get them off. It will probably get deleted off your Transunion and Equifax but you may need the proof of your PFD to get them removed off Experian. I could be wrong but that is my opinion.

The pay for delete, may have only covered the collection agency listing. You may need to dispute with the credit reporting agency to remove the original creditor listings. Technically the creditor should of showed sold / charge off. But it should be updated to paid.
