I purchased a new vehicle in Aug. and got kind of taken to the cleaners on my rate. The finance manager said in order to get a good rate I need over 700 scores. My mid is a 601 now and is steadily climbing. Is this b.s.? I want to refi the loan because of the rate. Any suggestions as to how long to wait and who is a good lender? He told me US bank was a great one. I am also worried about the loan to value being upside down because of depreciation? Any advise?

you asked the right question at the end of your post. if you are way out of wack on LTV then it really wont matter what you try to do for a rate. the banks are not going to touch the loan at all. find out what nada is on the car. use trade value because thats what the bank will look at. if you are ok then maybe you can do something. if i can ask....what is the rate currently?
